Double adaptors and weather proof power points
It might be surprising but every so often we get called out to a job for loss of power on a rainy night and the issue ends up being the customer has used a double adaptor or a power board on a weather proof power point. Using a double adaptor on a weather proof power point doesn’t make the double adaptor weather proof. The input point on the double adaptor is completely exposed to the weather and water will find its way in there. The only way to increases the amount you can plug in out side is by installing more weather proof power point or using a sealed connection box available at a hardware like Bunnings.
